It’s official! The enhanced vaccine passports – which now feature QR codes – are available for download from the Government of Ontario’s official site.
However, the amount of people who can access it within the next couple of days will be limited; it will depend on birth month.
The dates and sorted months are, as follows:
- October 15: For people born in January, February, March, or April
- October 16: For people born in May, June, July, or August
- October 17: For people born in September, October, November, or December
Anyone who misses their date will be able to access the site again at any time on or after October 18.
Additionally, businesses, organizations, and others who will be scanning QR codes are now able to download the new Verify Ontario app, which was released yesterday to Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store. The formal “start date” for the app and procedures for the new vaccine passports is set for October 22; it will be a month since the province’s initial proof-of-vaccination system came into effect back in September.
