After waiting 36 years, Canada has finally qualified for a World Cup. Last night Canada overcame Jamaica, with goals coming from Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan, Junior Hoilett and an own goal from Adrian Mariappa, beating them by 4 goals and keeping a clean sheet in the process. Although they were missing story boy Alphonso Davies, who was watching the match back in Germany, they still persisted and got the win at BMO Field!
Canada is the first team to qualify in the North America bracket, with Mexico and The USA also in pursuit looking to book there tickets to Qatar for November. Canada also take the number one spot at the table, with one game to go. If there is something to take out of the last few years when it comes to soccer, it’s that Canada is a force to be reckoned with!
